Microneedling at Healing Journey Wellness

Microneedling is offered here as a gentle, non-injectable way to support the skin’s natural ability to repair and renew. This approach is not about chasing perfection or quick fixes, but about caring for the skin in a way that feels steady, respectful, and aligned with overall health.

People often explore microneedling when they notice changes in texture, tone, scarring, or resilience, or when certain areas of skin no longer feel as strong or responsive as they once did.

How Microneedling Works

Microneedling uses very fine, sterile needles to create tiny, controlled openings in the skin. This process encourages the body’s natural repair response, which may support collagen production, circulation, and tissue renewal over time.

Microneedling can be used on many areas of the body, not just the face. Each treatment is tailored to the individual and the specific area being treated, with an emphasis on working with the skin rather than pushing it. acupuncture supports gradual, natural improvement by working with the body’s own regenerative capacity.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF

Microneedling?

Microneedling supports the skin’s natural repair processes and is often chosen for gradual, whole-skin improvements rather than dramatic or instant change.

Some people choose microneedling to support

  • Improved skin texture and tone
  • The appearance of fine lines and early signs of aging
  • Acne scarring or other superficial scars
  • Areas of skin that feel less resilient or slower to heal
  • Overall skin vitality and circulation
  • Better absorption of topical skincare products

An Approach That Works With The Body

I’m drawn to treatments that support the body rather than override it. Our skin reflects stress, health, circulation, and life experience, and I focus on approaches that respect those relationships rather than trying to freeze or erase them.

When microneedling is paired with acupuncture, we can support both the local tissue and the broader systems involved in repair and regeneration. For many patients, this feels like a grounded alternative to injectable cosmetic services. For others, it is simply a more intentional way to care for their skin over time.

Microneedling Pricing

Microneedling treatments are often positioned as high-end cosmetic services, with pricing that commonly ranges from $300 to $450 per session. That pricing can make it harder for people to explore non-injectable options, even when they are curious about alternatives.

I intentionally offer microneedling at a lower price point because I want supportive, non-injectable skin care to be easier to access. My hope is to make it simpler for people to explore options that work with the body, rather than feeling pushed toward more aggressive or injectable approaches.

At Healing Journey Wellness, microneedling is offered:

  • As a $195 standalone session
  • As an add-on to any acupuncture visit for $95

The microneedling portion is not eligible for insurance reimbursement. When added to an acupuncture visit, it may be paired with insurance-eligible acupuncture care so that this support can be integrated affordably into an ongoing treatment plan.

How Long Will It Take to See Results?

Microneedling works by supporting the skin’s natural repair processes, and those changes take time. Some people notice early shifts in how their skin feels, such as improved softness or brightness, within a few weeks. More visible changes in texture or tone often develop gradually as the skin continues to renew itself.

For concerns like scarring or deeper texture changes, a series of treatments is usually recommended. Results tend to build over time rather than appear all at once, and the pace varies depending on the area treated, overall skin health, and individual healing response.

The goal is steady, sustainable improvement rather than dramatic or instant change. During your visit, we can talk about what’s realistic for your skin and what kind of timeline may make the most sense for you.

Is microneedling painful?

Most people describe microneedling as uncomfortable but manageable. Sensation varies depending on the area being treated and individual sensitivity. Comfort measures are used as needed, and treatments are adjusted to stay within a tolerable range.

How long does a microneedling session take?

A typical microneedling session takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated and whether it is paired with an acupuncture visit.

What areas of the body can be treated?

Microneedling can be used on many areas of the body, not just the face. It is commonly used for areas with scarring, texture changes, or skin that feels slower to repair. Specific areas can be discussed during a visit.

Can microneedling be combined with acupuncture?

Yes. Microneedling is often paired with acupuncture to support both the local tissue and the body’s broader repair and circulation processes. When combined with an acupuncture visit, microneedling is available as a reduced-price add-on.

Is microneedling covered by insurance?

Microneedling itself is not eligible for insurance reimbursement. When added to an acupuncture visit, it may be paired with insurance-eligible acupuncture care, but the microneedling portion remains self-pay.

Is microneedling safe for everyone?

Microneedling is not appropriate for everyone. It may not be recommended for people with active skin infections, certain inflammatory skin conditions, or specific medical concerns. A conversation before treatment helps determine whether it is a good fit.
